Our Culture

The corporate culture at Avanir is unlike any you’ve seen.

We’re a sharp group, fun loving, always curious and interested in trying new things. Our collective expertise is deep and diverse. We’re eclectic, and we enjoy collaborating and sharing our varied perspectives and experiences.

Oddly enough, you could describe us as a relaxed, low-key group, but also very focused. We absolutely work hard, but we also take time to laugh.

At Headquarters, our dress code is casual. No stuffed shirts here: everyone is on a first-name basis with our leaders.

And if that’s not enough, our Human Resources team is working hard to make sure we’re the #1 employer of choice. They’re constantly planning and orchestrating opportunities to learn, get fit and sometimes, just have fun. Think lunch-n-learns, an Avanir Fiesta with a homemade guacamole contest, monthly birthday celebrations, Fitbit team competitions, volunteer opportunities to help local non-profits and more.

People say it’s challenging, it’s rewarding, there are lots of opportunities to grow, the benefits are great, and yes, we have fun. But you be the judge of that.

Here’s what our employees really say about life at Avanir:

Pierre-Louis Lezotre
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs & Quality

What really interests me and what I really like about Avanir are the people. We have very skilled, experienced and nice people to work with — it’s fun. And we're all motivated to deliver products that are very important for patients. This is all benefiting the patients at the end, that is why we’re here and that is what’s really exciting.

Jon Frei
Senior Neuroscience Manager, LTC, Sales

We are creating the awareness of a condition that not everybody knows exists. Seeing how our products change peoples' lives and the way that Doctors treat the condition is a really cool thing.

Aneta Ferguson
Executive Director, Acting General Counsel

Avanir is such a dynamic environment and offers challenging and very versatile work that allows us all to learn something new every day. People here are passionate about bringing treatment options to patients in areas where no treatments were available before.
